If you really need to operate your cell phone, you may be in luck. If your phone is "unlocked" and has an external SIM card then you can usually just buy a local SIM card to swap with yours. This is a simple and cheap answer, but you'll be operating with a local mobile number. Some cell phones do work in the countries we operate in without the SIM card switch, but roaming charges could be very costly. Check with your wireless provider for detailed roaming info.

Amazing trip, great group of guys
I was initially a little worried about going on a group trip, not knowing anybody and being used to doing my own thing on holiday, but I signed up because every review was so positive. Adv there’s a reason those reviews are so damn good! I had an amazing time on their Greece trip in June. Within days I felt so comfortable, so relaxed and had so many new friends. Detours bids such a flexible trip, which you can create your own and undertake the activities you hope for. You simply must perform the mud bath on Santorini - your skin feels so good afterwards - and the ATVs on Milos are a highlight – exploring the island is awesome. I have come to the end of 12 incredible days with Detours around Costa Rica - I met 12 strangers on day 1 and left with some very wonderful friendships and basic plans in place for one or two of them to visit me in Scotland.
This is a stunning country with tonnes to do and pushes your mental and physical barriers. (rafting, canyoning etc) but also some incredible wildlife, scenery and very welcoming people.
Dan and Miles flex over backwards to construct this holiday worthwhile. When dumbo here, booked his flight for 1 date later than he idea he had, Dan moved mountains to get my ground transport sorted within 10 minutes and with only 1 hour's detect. Miles is super-prompt on answering his messages too!
There were so many highlights - they are too many to mention!
Bring on Greece and Thailand. Hmmm ... a Detours Scotland trip would be a great idea - depend on any local knowledge and help setting that one up??
